Included in this sale is a collection of WWI Military Recruiting Posters, Arms, Armor and more from the collection of The Varnum Armory as well as a collection of medieval articles of torture from The Museum Macabre, Honolulu Hawaii which once belonged in the collection of Nuremberg Castle, Germany. A good selection of Asian Arts including porcelain, bronzes and carved stone. Several pieces of ancient pottery including Greek and Roman artifacts. Mid Century Modern furniture and objects of art, fresh from local estates. As always an interesting collection of Natural History including prehistoric dinosaur bones, egg nests and taxidermy creatures. African and Tribal arts from the collection of Caroline and Marshall Ward Mount, New Jersey. Mr. Mount is a renowned author and expert on African arts and wrote the first book on African contemporary arts in 1973 (African Art; the Years Since 1920). As well as several pieces of American and European decorative and fine arts from local estates and a collection of Adirondack furniture & Folk Art from Bill and Phyllis Duffy.
