Our annual summer Americana sale features the contents of two historic homes, items the custodians inherited and collected throughout a lifetime. The focus is on prime examples of country Americana, many examples in old paint, along with great provenance, all being sold without reserve. The auction will be held under tents, on the grounds of the Historic French House in Plainfield, NH. Please make plans to attend, you will enjoy the day!

A general overview, as we are still going through attic trunks - Boston area two-part William and Mary highboy, burl fronts and maple sides, c. 1730; 4-dr. ball foot CT chest, c. 1700; early 18th-c. ball foot blanket chest; early 18th-c. stretcher base tavern tables, some in paint; several Early American armchairs including a CT bannister-back, heart crest, a Tinkham example and a Great Chair with four-slat and mushroom hand rests old paint, collection of good banisterback side chairs with carved crests; 18th-c. corner cupboard in old paint, several 18th-c. floor cupboards some in old paint; several early blanket chests in old paint; early paneled oak chest; many QA and Federal stands many in old color; 17th-c.
