Featuring fine country Americana from the collection of the late Thomas Hannan and his widow, Alison, formerly of Guilford, VT. Tom’s enthusiasm for collecting Americana began in the 1960’s and over the years placed many important items in museum collections. Tom’s acute eye for art began when he studied abstract painting with Hans Hofmann from 1950-53. He had a studio and exhibited in New York City. He was a founding member of the artist run James Gallery in 1954.
