A weathervane is as unique as the rooftop it graces, and Landis Valley Village & Farm Museum has gathered more than forty exceptional and historic examples in this exhibition. Weathervanes and weathervane patterns rarely seen by the public, including one of the earliest American weathervanes known to exist, will showcase the evolution of this imaginative and useful art form. Fraktur, land draughts, engravings, drawings, powder horns, and other artifacts showcasing weathervanes will round out the display. A full-colored exhibition catalog, authored by guest curator John Kolar, is available for purchase at the Landis Valley Museum Store. Please visit our website to see related talks and workshops that will be offered throughout the year.

This exhibition is supported by a grant from The Richard C. von Hess Foundation.
The Landis Valley Village & Farm Museum is actively supported by the Landis Valley Associates.
