This oil on canvas is unsigned but unmistakably the work of E.T. Baker. It displays typical features of his work such as vertical stripes in the flag. There is also a highly luminous quality to the sky and particularly to the water off the bow and stern. Sight size: 24" x 32". Condition: untouched, uncleaned in its original lemon gold frame. It can be enjoyed as is or would be spectacular with just a very light cleaning. Circa: 1875.
