Our annual spring sale will feature the collections of glass author and scholar Joan E. Kaiser of Sandwich, MA, and the late Roger Gehman of Pittsburgh, PA. The renowned Kaiser collection comprises an outstanding selection of Sandwich and South Boston glass of all types including many important pieces published in Barlow/Kaiser, The Glass Industry in Sandwich, volumes 1-5, and Kaiser, The Glass Industry in South Boston. A printed color catalogue of the entire Kaiser collection will be available around May 1 for $37.20 postpaid.

Highlights include 30+ colored whale oil/fluid lamps; fine cut overlay and other early kerosene lighting; 60+ colored candlesticks; 20 colored vases; cut overlay and other cologne bottles/dresser articles; free-blown and blown-molded wares including Thomas Cains pieces; rare colored flint EAPG; toys/miniatures; pressed lacy including open salts; rare Madonna standard time lamp, candelabra, &c.; witch balls and other whimsies; paperweights; art glass including Alton Trevaise and Mt. Washington Lava; reference and archival materials; plus more.

The Gehman collection features a fine selection of Pittsburgh and other early cut glass; free-blown wares; rare colored and colorless pillar-molded; marbrie-decorated pieces; non-flint EAPG including a 300+ piece collection of Pleat & Panel, Jumbo, &c. Other consignments include a collection of 100+ historical/figured flasks, many from the Nancy DuPont Reynolds Cooch estate, proceeds to benefit the Toledo Museum of Art's Collection Fund; the George & Patricia Arden collection of 18th and 19th century European glass including English free-blown colored decanters, a large selection of cut decanters, drinking vessels, &c.; plus more.
