We are pleased to announce the May 14th sale of selections from the Alan Emerson Collection including early folk art, stoneware, decoys, textiles and heirloom furniture. The sale will feature works by Maud Lewis, Joseph Swift and J.J. Kenyon, as well as a circa 1910 carved circus parade offered by the original Cornwall, Ontario family.

Featured is this circa 1825 powder horn made by John Tansel of Scott County, Kentucky. It is carved with a large federal eagle with the “E Pluribus Unum” banner at its beak, wild animals, and two bust-style gentleman ?gures named “G. Linza” and “McGu?n”.
