Wallace and Cornwall Kirkpatrick, Anna, IL, 1885.

Among the Kirkpatricks’most ambitious works known, this pitcher features hand-modeled and sculpted decoration in-the-round of newly-elected President Grover Cleveland, inscribed “President / 1885,” flanked by three other figures inscribed “Change,” “Reform,” and “Ex Sec / Interior.” One of the most elaborate and historically-significant creations by these celebrated ceramicists. H 11 3/4”.
