The Japanese call it wabi-sabi, which freely translated means “living with imperfection and transience.” It’s something lovers of antiques are accustomed to. If we demanded that objects be perfect, most antiques wouldn’t stand a chance. But in my perfect world, imperfection reigns supreme.
